Multiple security vulnerabilities found in Mozilla Firefox

Security Reason reports that “Mozilla products fail to properly enforce security restrictions in JavaScript and are subject to memory corruption via maliciously constructed HTML tags. There’s also problems with how the products handle Cascading Style Sheets which leave open security holes that might allow the execution of arbitrary code on a vulnerable system.”

Secunia has posted 21 highly critical vulnerabilities, which could be exploited “to conduct cross-site scripting and phishing attacks, bypass certain security restrictions, disclose sensitive information, and potentially compromise a user’s system.”

It would be advisable to upgrade to versions 1.0.8 or 1.5.0.2 of Firefox.
