It's possible Jeremy doesn't have enough qualified US-based traffic. YPN is harder to get into than AdSense; I know this from experience. YPN is also a US-only and invite-only ad network and will drop you right away if you have a low CTR (which is stupid since their ad targeting doesn't work well) or not enough visitors from the US. A site I had with 75% American traffic was dropped because people in the 25% were clicking on ads more than my other users. YPN also has had trouble getting enough advertisers and therefore has to make sure they keep the ones they have. I'm sure you can understand that they are extremely restrictive/selective when it comes to their publishers.

I used to use YPN and it made me about 40% more money than AdSense. I did a comparison of both advertisers in my article, Google AdSense versus Yahoo! Publisher Network. Other people I know have reported over 70% increases in earnings over AdSense and figures such as $3 per click opposed to AdSense giving them less than a dollar for the same keywords.
