Less than a second later, the Retribution shuddered under the onslaught of weapon's fire, its shields fluctuating. Lorena glanced at the control chamber's expansive view-screen to witness the horrifying tableau before her: countless streaks of gold and green weaving through the Initiative armada faster than her eyes could follow, anti-matter missiles raining down on unsuspecting fleets. Buds of flame blossomed a moment later as unshielded ships detonated, hulls torn apart by missiles, remnants of ships scattered everywhere.
"We have to get back to the ship," Lorena ordered trying to overcome her astonishment. Lorena grabbed Kel-ten's semi-metallic arm as the two of them raced towards the phase-shift conduits. She then activated her wristband, "All DMC ships, this is Commander Knox, we are under attack! Engage the enemy but do not break formation!"
